Frequently Asked Questions

Find practical answers for reliable sealing results.

What is the difference between wax beads and wax sticks?

Beads are ideal for spoon melting and precise color mixing. Sticks are convenient for glue-gun workflows and batch sealing. Both set with our clean, firm finish.

How much wax do I need for a 25mm vs. 30mm stamp?

For a 25mm head, use ~3–4 beads or a short trigger pull. For 30mm, use ~4–5 beads. Adjust slightly for textured papers.

How do I get a crisp impression?

Let wax rest for 3–4 seconds after pouring, then press the stamp straight down and hold for 6–8 seconds. Lift gently and allow to cool.

Will wax seals survive mailing?

Our blends are flexible enough for standard mail. For automated sorting, we recommend hand-canceling or using protective outer envelopes.

Which stamp size should I choose?

25mm is versatile for letters and small packaging. 30–35mm makes a statement on invitations or branded boxes.

Can I mix wax colors?

Yes. Melt beads together in a spoon to create marbling. Start with a 2:1 ratio of your main color to the accent color.

Do I need a furnace or can I use a spoon only?

Both work. A furnace keeps heat consistent for multiple seals. A spoon alone is great for one-off seals or travel.

How do I care for my brass stamp head?

Wipe with a soft cloth after use. Avoid abrasives. If wax builds up, gently warm and wipe. Store with a light protective sleeve.
